Old Jedi Code
There is no emotion; There is peace
There is no Ignorance; There is knowledge
There is no passion; There is serenity
There is no Chaos; There is harmony
There is no death; There is the Force
New Jedi Code
-Jedi are the guardians of peace in the galaxy.
-Jedi use their powers, to defend and protect, and if needed be to attack wrong doers.
-Jedi respect all life in any form, unless one has murdered or caused chaos in the galaxy.
-Jedi serve others rather than rule over them, for the good of the galaxy.
-Jedi seek to improve themselves through knowledge and training.
[blue]Jedi Tolerance[/blue]
Jedi are a forgiving group, but there are some things that will not be tolerated
* A Jedi will never strike down another Jedi, no matter what the case
* A Jedi will never make threats to anyone or to any organization
* A Jedi will only fight in self defense or in the defense of someone else
* A Jedi will never hire a Bounty Hunter
* A Jedi will never use the powers of the Dark Side
* It is a Jedi's duty to protect the innocent, no matter who it is
* A Jedi must not go out and hunt down Dark-siders except in defense of others or galactic peace
You will have a second chance if you break one of this guidelines, after the second offense, action will be taken and fate decided by the Council.
[green]Jedi Council Regulations[/green]
There will be tests for Masters and Knights who wished to become part of the Council's task force. Those who are part of it will have some sort of say within what goes on within the Council, and also take part in missions/quests set out by the members of the current Jedi Council.
Masters who are part of the Council's Task Force may be given the opportunity to obtain ranks in their area of specialty. This could range anywhere from History, Training, or Battle Tactics.
The Just Academy will be reopened for those seeking training in the ways of the Force. Who will head it and who will teach permanently is yet to be determined.
[blue]Rankings[/blue]
So here is how the ranks work:
[green]Basic Force Adept[/green]
[green]Padawan Force User[/green]
[green]Jedi Knight[/green]
[green]Jedi Master[/green]
To attain the ranking of Basic Force Adept, you are to be accepted by a Jedi Master or Knight to begin your training.
To attain Padawan Force user, you must complete the basic 5 powers of your training, Sense, Push, Pull, Speed, and Jump, as well as had beginning combat training and constructed your first lightsaber after inheriting your Jedi Class. You must then submit and profile to the Jedi Site and you then become a Padawan Force User.
To attain Jedi Knight you must have completed the training required by the Jedi Order and pass the final exams your trainer will give to you. Once completed, your trainer will grant you the rank of Jedi Knight and you will begin your life in a much larger world. Once you wait a week, you may begin training Padawans of your own and help the Jedi Order flourish.
To attain Jedi Master, you must train in the force and have been a Jedi Master for about 1-2 Months. You must also have trained somewhere in the range of 1-3 padawans in this time. Once you have accomplished the goals at hand, you should continue in your path and hoped to get noticed by members of the Jedi Council. The Council will consider your skill as a Role Player, Fighter, Trainer, and overall personality as a Jedi. Only by a vote of the Council will you be accepted for Jedi Master ((Note: Dying as a Jedi Knight does not count as the time in waiting to become a Master)).
[green]Jedi Classes[/green]
Pending on your padawan, he/she must inherit one of the following Jedi classes
[green]Consular[/green]- is strong with the force but weak in battle. He avoids a fight unless not possible using words and force powers. He/she carries a green lightsaber
[blue]Guardian[/blue]- is strong with battle techniques but weak in force powers. Tries to avoid battle by order of the code, but not afraid to combat with someone. He/she carries a blue lightsaber
[yellow]Sentinel[/yellow]- Is a balance of both Guardian and Consular. He/she carries a yellow lightsaber
Note: The color of the saber only matters during your padawans training. Once they have reached the rank of Jedi Knight, they can use whatever colors they wish, but these color symbolize the importance of the Jedi and what the person carrying it wants to accomplish.
